In short: I read, I write, and I trip over my own feet (and everything else).

To expand a bit: I'm 30, female, and married. Currently, I write. I have written for 20 years, but at the moment, I do it nearly every day, for hours at a time (well, or as long as my work shifts and RL obligations let me). Mostly fiction, fanfiction, and novels at present, but also short stories, novellas, essays, plays, screenplays, and whatever sounds good at the moment. I'm currently working in food service, as the manager of bakery production where I work, so I do a lot of baking and cake decorating. My schedule is ridiculous, between that job and my husband's schedule, and days often start for me at 2:30am. What little free time I have is spent reading and writing.

In addition to general and random entries, I post fanfic (and fandom-related flailings) in this journal. Currently, there are works from Harry Potter, The Demon's Lexicon series, Suits, Inception, The Avengers, and The Hunger Games, but there is always the possibility of others popping up. If that's what you're here for, those entries are kept unlocked, and my master list (easily located from the main page of my journal) will get you started, though it's far from completely updated. My AO3 page is MUCH more quickly/recently updated, if you're looking for the newer/newest stuff (like my writings for Teen Wolf (and coming soon Skyfall)).

If you'd like me to friend you back, drop me a line and tell me why. I don't generally automatically friend back, but if we've interacted through LJ or twitter, or I recognise your name from comments on my fics, either on my LJ or during fests, or your participation in comms where I mod, I might add back without a message/comment. But if you add me and wonder why I don't add back, it's not a personal thing--just introduce yourself, and I'll be happy to reciprocate.

A Note On Permissions for Podfics, Art, Translations, etc.:

In general, I would be thrilled if anyone enjoyed a fic enough to want to open it up to a new medium. But so things are crystal clear and there's no confusion, here are my permissions!

Podfic:
Please consider this blanket permission to podfic any of my fics, with only a few minor stipulations:
1) Please let me know you're doing this (preferably first). In the (unlikely) event that more than one person wants to podfic the same story, I can let the second person know, in case they would rather not cover what someone else is doing, especially so close together in time.
2) Please link me to the file when it is posted. I would love to be able to link back to it from my fic, as well as share with people on my flist. Also, I request that you link to the original fic when you post the podfic. Please give credit.
3) There may be a very few individual fics that I ask not be podfic'd (such as in cases of a podfic collaboration, like pod_together's challenge). These restrictions WILL be marked clearly in the author's notes to the fic.

Art:
If you want to do art of any of my fics, please consider this blanket permission to do so! I would be thrilled to see art! The only thing I ask is that you link me to your art when you post (so that I may link back to you), you link back to the original fic in that post, and give appropriate credit.

Translations:
For this, I ask that you consult me first. I will likely ask where you will be posting the translation and in which language. If I do grant permission (which is probable), I ask that you link back to the original, credit appropriately, and send me a working link to your translation, so I may link back to you as well.

Linking:
I know there has been a bit of drama over linking via twitter and facebook. As far as I am concerned, you are free to link TO MY FIC. Livejournal links are love, twitter is great, tumblr is fantastic, other sites are fine, and even facebook can be okay. That said, please do not link to anything of mine that is not specifically fic without prior permission, and you absolutely may not connect my fandom presence with my Real Life presence (you may connect this journal and the twitter, tumblr, and AO3 accounts with the same user name). Recs are one thing; "outing" is quite another.
(NOTE: Please, feel absolutely free to rec something of mine somewhere (a comm, in a comment, in your own journal, on tumblr, etc). Recommending an author's work is a HUGE compliment, and generally gives us warm fuzzies. Just make sure you are attributing it to "khasael".)

Reposting:
This is an Absolutely Not sort of thing. Please do not repost anything of mine. If I want it somewhere, I will put it there. If you think it should be somewhere else (an archive, a community, whatever), please simply message me and suggest such. (Not the same as 'rec-ing', which is covered above)
